Community :

Increasingly, people worldwide are expressing fear that land development and construction projects will unduly disrupt their lives and pose dangers to their health. The public's concern about the environment, the economy, and the general welfare of their communities has led to protests, negative media coverage, and lawsuits. Too often, the results are the same: extended project schedules and significant cost overruns. Occasionally, the voice of the public stops the project cold.

At KTIC, we know that people denied the opportunity to work with a project will often work against it. That's why KTIC established a formal policy to foster working relationships with elected officials, government agencies, the business community, labor organizations, environmental and community interest groups, property owners, and the media. Since then, we've been involved in community relations activities on projects of all sizes and scopes throughout the world--from the cleanup of hazardous waste to the design and construction of airports, highways, power plants, and petrochemical facilities.

KTIC's Approach to Public Involvement

KTIC's community relations team helps customers engage local communities in partnerships that represent both project and public interests. Team members cultivate trust between project stakeholders, and facilitate open discussion of issues so that all parties feel their concerns are addressed.
Community relations are also a cornerstone of KTIC's sustainable development policy, which integrates economic development, environmental protection, and social responsibility in all phases of project development and execution.
